lit.nyc is a community-based web project by Thomas Kohlwein in cooperation with Open Source Gallery mapping the literature of New York City.
Many New York places are described in literature and movies, this project collects them to draw a cultural city map. Everyone is invited to contribute: Remember about a place mentioned in a book or movie? Heard about an author living in that street? Just put the spot on the map, it's that easy.
How does it work?
Feel free to register a username and create new spots by providing details about the book or movie and the location of the spot. You can either use the map to choose the spot or provide an exact street adress.
